The civilian population in Northern Al-Sham has been subject to brutal devastation, marking an unexpected turn in the developments in the area. Five major hospitals have been destroyed, and many other areas are affected. Alhamdulillah, our ground team have been working tirelessly from day one, providing transport services as well as distributing fresh bread for those fleeing, and they'll be distributing heating fuel & emergency canned food. Progress update for Sakina Village 19/09/24: - The 1st layer of levelling is completed and the 2nd & 3rd layer is underway - The foundation for the 1st terrace is completed, covering 1875 m2 - The wooden mould for the foundation of the surrounding wall on the western side has been installed Alhamdulillah the project is proceeding really well with majority of the levelling completed and the foundations being constructed. Alhamdulillah the first phase of establishing Sakina Village has begun. The phase started with initial photos documenting the site and surroundings. Next, there was a topographical survey and soil testing to assess the sandy and stony ground and ensure it is safe for construction. The site is now levelled, and the layout for roads and terraces, where buildings and public facilities will be constructed, has been prepared. Alhamdulillah the planning and design phase for Sakina Village in Sham has been completed. The village will provide housing for hundreds of families currently living in small tents with minimal access to running water. The new accommodations consist of nine apartment buildings, each equipped with heating, air conditioning, running water, and essential facilities. The village will also feature a children's play area and a football pitch within the grounds. Kindness towards our widows... Her husband has passed away. She has three daughters. One married and gave birth to a lovely little boy. Her husband also passed away. So now this grandmother is living in this sparse concrete room on the side of the main road. With only enough to survive the daily challenges of life whilst looking after two generations of orphans. And yet her face beams with a smile and her tongue is busy with shukr Alhamdulillah. We recorded this in Sha’ban and we still dont have our widows and orphans fully sponsored... 🇲🇦 Alhamdulillah, over the past weekend, our team from Save our World UK travelled to a remote village in Morocco named Al Mramda. Our team met with local brothers and the town mayor who emphasised the need for food packs in Ramadhan and assistance in helping rebuild the many homes that were destroyed and damaged by the earthquake. Alhamdulillah, 70 food packs have been arranged so far but unfortunately they will not be able to be delivered until the King's Ramadhan distribution is completed. The King's distribution is imminent and ours will follow straight after Inshallah.
