Fidyah

Fidyah is a compensation provided when someone is unable to fast in Ramadhan, unable to make up any missed fasts at any other time and is not expected to ever regain the ability to make up the missed fasts due to a legitimate excuse or incapacity. This equates to providing two full meals or giving the equivalent value to a needy person.
