Description

Kaffarah

If someone intentionally break any fasts during the holy month of Ramadhan without a valid reason, they would be required to do Kaffarah. To redeem themselves, they would need to fast for sixty consecutive days. If this is not achievable, then they must feed 60 poor people.

Fidyah

If someone is unable to fast for any of the days of Ramadhan, for example, due to ill health or pregnancy, and these fasts cannot be made up afterwards, they will need to pay a charitable form of compensation.

Your Fidyah and Kaffarah will go directly to those who need it most in either Syria, Pakistan or The Gambia.
