Heatwave Relief

Ease their struggle. Earn shade in the Akhirah.

We all struggle when a heatwave hits the UK but most of us can grab a cold drink, switch on a fan, or step into a shaded room. In Syria, it’s a different story.

Many families are living in makeshift tents, with no proper shelter from the sun. These tents aren’t just uncomfortable; they turn into hot boxes, trapping heat and pushing temperatures up to 55°C inside during the day. It’s unbearable. Here are some facts:

  • Scorching temperatures regularly rise above 40°C across Syria during the summer.

  • There’s little to no infrastructure – no cooling systems, patchy electricity, and barely any shade.

  • Clean water is scarce, and people are already struggling to get by without it.

Now imagine enduring all of that in a cramped tent, with children, elderly relatives, and no escape from the heat.

How you can help

Something as simple as clean water, ice, and fresh fruit can make a world of difference. These small comforts help lower the risk of heatstroke and dehydration, and offer some relief, however brief, from the relentless heat.

Please donate if you can. Whatever you give will go straight to helping families survive this summer.
